What should you do if you think you’re being scammed?

Stop communicating with them

Talk to someone you trust and take their opinions into account

Search online to see if other people have experienced similar things

Reverse search any photos they’ve sent you, if they don’t match the name and details they gave you, you should be suspicious

Report their dating profile to the app and block them. This can prevent them making a new account and doing it to others

You can report this to Action Fraud on 0300 1232040 or at actionfraud.police.uk
