The rise of online scammers reached an all time high during the COVID-19 pandemic, with a 66% increase during lockdown.
This may be partially due to a rise in users and scammers grabbing the opportunity to exploit those online.
2020 saw the highest scam stats to date, although worryingly, 54% of scam victims said they were too embarrassed to report the incident.
